Ehhhhhh OP (and you) FAIL! Once and for all, let’s say it together HYPER is the ANTONYM of HYPO. To be HYPO (hyporactive) is to be full of energy etc, while HYPER (hyperactive) is to have low energy. Same as blood sugar, hypo = high, hyper = low.
TL;DR Hypo /=/ Hyper
You got it backwards. Hyper- means overabundance, hypo- means under-abundance.

Way I always remember is that hypothermia is abnormally low body temperature, heading towards “freezing to death”, and hyperthermia is abnormally high body temperature, heading towards heat stroke.

sooooo am i the only one bothered by the fact that the commenter thinks that 95% of the world has brown eyes? becuase their sure is more than 5% with green or blue…
2% have green eyes, 9% blue, 88-89% brown, around 1% with red/grey/other.
Don’t forget that the majority of the world’s population lives in africa+asia, the prevalence in those countries is around 99.9999% brown eyes. The vast majority of blacks, asians, arabs and orientals have brown eyes.

Though I’m Northen European so it’s not as uncommon here.
We’re talking about THE world, not YOUR world. Think about it: over 99.9% of people in Africa and Asia have brown eyes. Probably 85% of Latin Americans have brown eyes. Let’s say 50% of Europeans and 50% of North Americans (excluding Mexico) have brown eyes.
With those assumptions, we end up with around 87% of the world having brown eyes; of course this is a relatively rough estimate, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the real number really were closer to 95%.
depends, as most people would count almost black to this, too, that statement isnt that wrong. it should be about 90% then (no exact numbers, because that chances with everyone who gets born, but it is definitely a number that high ;] )
you gotta understand that the population like “we” know it in our western world is a minority in the whole world…and even here blue/green/anything else eyes arent the rule, more the, even though not unlikely, exception.
populous states all have majorities with dark eyes (and i mean, huge majorities…you´ll have serious trouble to find a blue eyed person in, say India…or any African country)
once, everyone had brown/dark eyes, blue or green eyes have less pigments and were most likely a genetic defect at the beginning.

97% of the world population have none blue eyes, you’re just bothered because you are in one of the concentrations of blue eyes.
Estonia has something like 99% blue eyed people, Denmark 90%, but that local concentration doesn’t change the fact that the global default is some variation of brown…
You’re not alone, I was bothered by that too. I have green eyes, and I think a large part of the population in my country has either blue or green eyes, with brown making up the remainder.
Admittably, Wikipedia does state that brown eyes are prevalent in large parts of the world:

I’ve seen things like this on facebook that say people with green eyes are best, people with blue eyes are best, people with brown and hazel eyes are best( I have blue ). Its not true in any way it’s just another stupid Facebook spam.

I really hate crap like this. I saw one recently that said that it’s a psychological fact that if you dream about someone that they are thinking about you. If I were a meaner person I would respond to these posts telling these people how stupid they are.
