It’s worded “usually cost a maximum of £10.00″ so it isnt a hard limit. The NHS sucessfully justify a charge of up to £50 because they have to include paper records.

yup, i think most of the EU countries ratified the law in one form or another, so there ya go. at least a few good millions can apply, but i`m not sure that if you`re, let`s say, french, and mention the law in this post, it will be considered valid. to each his own, i guess.

Thanks for that nugget of info. TrOllBuRst was actually saying that the law applies to the whole of Europe. He wasn’t saying it didn’t apply to the UK.
Facebook Europe is located in Ireland, which means the Irish law is applicable. Which says, you do have the right to know which data they collect from you. Although facebook will try to ignore you, so you have to strongly insist, or nothing will happen.

Actually this is legit. The image just doesn’t specify one tiny detail: in order to get this CD, you need to provide them with your full address and a scanned government-issued photo ID.
Are you mad at facebook for storing all your old wall posts and whatnot? Send them even more personal information that they probably couldn’t acquire otherwise. That’ll teach them.

This works in Canada, because it is part of the British Empire. Which means, that there are many other countries (Not in Europe) that belong to the British Empire that can do this! Problem fail trolls?

To be accessible to users outside of the US they need to abide by the specific laws of those other countries.
But the non-British can’t reference this law and expect anything from it, so there still isn’t really any point.
